Week 2 Summary (April 25, 1938 - May 1, 1938)

St. Louis (AL) Manager Gabby Street Week Two of the 1938 BBW replay is in the books, and another exciting week it was. As expected, some teams are off to a hot start, some not so much, but it is early. Of course, the season is only two weeks old, but so far it has been a confusing mix of offense outbursts and pitching excellence. We have had plenty of blowouts and big innings, but we have also had plenty of strong pitching performances as well. That is what makes a season like this so fun to play - ya' never know what you're gonna get. In the AL, the surprise of the replay so far is the start of the St. Louis Browns, in first place with a 9-4 record. Led by Beau Bell (.262, 6 HR, 13 RBI's) and first baseman George McQuinn ( .568, 11 RBI's), St. Louis leads the AL in homeruns (15) and is second in runs scored (76), trailing only the Yankees (91).
